The Kruger Brothers – (L-R) Jens Kruger, Joel Landsberg and Uwe Kruger

“The Kruger Brothers are just about as fine a band as I’ve ever played with … I love to play music with them.”

– Doc Watson

If you haven’t heard of the Kruger Brothers, you are in for a real treat.  Here is their website.  I won’t repeat what it says about their background but it is unusual in the least. In 2011 Yens Kruger was invited to create a symphonic piece for presentation at the Banff Centre in August 2012.  We had the pleasure of attending that world premier of The Spirit of the Rockies

Afterward many of us went downstairs in the theatre to The Club, an after hours bar where the Kruger Brothers and Laura Boosinger jammed into the wee hours of the morning.
