When One Door Closes….

A couple of weeks ago we were looking forward to travelling to San Jose del Cabo for our son Michael and his fiance Leah’s destination wedding in Cabo San Juan, Mexico on September 25, 2014. However, Hurricane Odile had something to say about that.

For one week Mike and Leah were living in their worst nightmare. Wedding site was destroyed, friends and family travel plans were cancelled, and a dream wedding was gone.

However, Mike and Leah got to work and reschedule the whole event at the Barcelo Maya Palace Deluxe, south of Cancun on the Mexican Riviera.

The west coast Buxtons left Vancouver on the red eye and flew to Toronto and then to Cancun.

(Notice the couple with the beers waiting for their limo in Cancun – my kind of place.)

We arrived in mid afternoon and were completely bowled over by the resort. Did I mention that it was an all-inclusive?

After our arrival we settled in by the pool and waited for Mike and Leah and their friends to arrive.

All in all, not a bad first day.
