A TRIP TO THE REAL LEFT COAST

We needed some R&R. We needed to make sure we were starting fresh, kicking the s#%t out of 2016 and shedding it from our collective consciousness. So…
TOFINO!

Situate on the west coast of Vancouver Island on Clayoquot Sound, across island from Parksville and Port Alberni, it is a place that holds fond memories for us and it would be the perfect place for rejuvenation.

DAY ONE

We caught a way too early Ferry and started our trip.

After approximately 4 hours of scenic and twisty driving we arrived at our destination.

The Middle Beach Lodge had been shut down for annual maintenance and we were among the first to arrive of only 6 guests. We had the place to ourselves and that is generally the vibe in Tofino. Mostly locals and surfers. Not a bad thing actually.

Lunch at Jamie’s

Dinner at Shelter

We were definitely beginning to relax.
