Sunday is market day at the Rec Centre in North Delta.
Local artisans, bakers and produce vendors offer their goods for sale.

I particularly like shopping for baked goods,

fruit and vegetables,

and some very unusual Asian produce.

Have you ever seen Bitter Melon? Apparently you can slice it lengthwise, scrape out the seeds, stuff it with a meat and/or veg mixture of your choice, and then bake it open faced. (Stay tuned to this blog for my attempt.)

How about Opo Squash, ever tasted that? It took this gentleman 3 years to successfully grow this vegetable.

I’ve never seen that before.

Ah, the Market…

Soap –

Signs –

and kids.

What could be better on a warm Sunday afternoon?
